Years ago, when I was going through some unsettling times, I used to take long walks to a nearby park. It was a place of peaceful refuge....a place where I could be alone in nature...to sort out my thoughts and give me 'time out' from much confusion.

One day, this particular tree caught my attention in the distance. As I approached, I could clearly see the figure of an old woman standing very tall and regal, facing me. Can you see her too?

As I looked into her face, I could see her smiling at me! It was a crooked smile, which showed even more crooked teeth....but she was always smiling, like a kindly old grandmother. She wears a top knot of 'hair', and has outstanding features of a bulbous nose, a square chin, and one eye larger than the other, which keenly followed me wherever I walked beneath her gaze. I sensed she had seen everything under the sun, so to speak.

She listened well. She taught me how to listen, too.

I learned precious teachings about life from her. She likes to keep things simple.

She told me to bring people to her. Those who have sat with her have received deep insights and all types of healing.
